Enable a seamless transformation of physical documents into electronic files ready for review with hard copy processing.
THE DIGITAL PLAY
Our end-to-end hard copy processing services include scanning hard copy material into electronic files that are objectively coded with relevant metadata.
Document Collection
Law Image offers a highly secure pick up and delivery service managed by our staff. We do not use third-party couriers allowing us to maintain a complete chain of custody throughout the project.
Inventory Register
Materials collected from clients are captured on a master register at Law Image. Potential anomalies such as fragile documents, oversized plans, or files that are partially obscured by post-it notes are identified.
Scanning
Documents are scanned using large industrial scanners. We then apply the first of a three-level QA process to ensure scanning is completed accurately. Read more about our scanning solutions.
Delimiting
Law Image uses custom tools for delimiting documents. Processing specialists mark the start and endpoints of the scanned documents and apply family relationships between files.
Objective Coding
We use our in-house objective coding tool to capture key information from documents such as the ‘Title, Date, To, From and Doctype’, enhancing the ability to review large volumes of documents. Read More
OCR
OCR (process) converts files into keyword-searchable documents.
Final QA Process
The database import file is reviewed to ensure the hard copy documents are represented accurately in electronic form and are legible.
eDiscovery Database
On the completion of processing, documents are converted into an eDiscovery database that can be imported into dedicated platforms such as Ringtail, Relativity or any other review platforms.
Fully Onshore Processing
All hard copy processing is completed onshore and in-house. No work is sent offshore nor subcontracted. Documents are processed in our secure premises, and we control every step of the process.
